Founded in 2014, BiG HUG was born from a love of brands, the drinks industry and a desire to make a difference. As ‘HOBO’ BREWERS they don’t own our own brewery, but their story is what makes them a little bit different.
They work with some of the best in the industry - people they call friends to create beers that are accessible, easy drinking and full of flavour whilst making a meaningful difference along the way.
Social cause is at the heart of their cause – a founding pillar of the business. Whilst its always been beer first, they believe in positive social impact and Big Hug is simply the vehicle that allows them to maximise our impact. An extension of their values, they believe if everyone gave a little something back the world would be a better place for it.
Big Hug support the homeless sector and their chosen partners Only A Pavement Away, Centrepoint and YMCA Downslink Group along with climate action projects through partnership with TR{1}BE.
That means every beer sold has a positive impact on PEOPLE and PLANET.

Juicy Pale
Big Hug’s most popular beer, Juicy Pale is a hop forward, session pale ale made with a combination of Maris Otter, Munich and Cara Light malts and a real challenger to the bigger brands.
A low end bitterness and huge quantities of Mosaic and Chinook coupled with the lower, session abv give a hop forward, juicy, fruity aroma with a taste to match. Notes of citrus, melon, peach, stone fruit and a touch of pine along with oats, wheat and barley combine to give a good body and fuller mouth feel for a lower abv beer.
Unfiltered, Juicy is naturally hazy, golden and light on the palate with a low malt profile.
Brewed in London with their friends at Portobello Brewing. Pairs well with salad, chicken and lighter seafood.
